(By Tsai Zong-Heng, Military News Agency, February 16, 2014, KAOHSIUNG) The “Elite Project” activity of Naval Academy was ended today. All students boarded Guan six speedboat, Kangding warship, submarine and AAV7 amphibious assault vehicle at military harbor. Nderstanding the students must hold relevant work and duties, how will the theory and professional knowledge learned at school could combine with each other after graduated from Naval Academy.

Early in the morning, the students first arrived Huoniu Camp to hear the features of amphibious assault vehicles, command vehicles and relief vehicles, and even boarded on AAV7 amphibious assault vehicle to experience the thrill ride on the Peach beach. While the vehicle was traveling rapidly through the beach, many students burst out and the excitement is inexpressible. Zhang Shu-Han from Chiayi Girls High School said: It’s rare to have this experience to look at the sea from different angles. Fabulous!

Next, the students visited the Kangding warship, Guang six speedboat and submarine to understand the responsibilities and combat power of Navy defending our territorial seas and listen to them describe the hard work and achievements of navigating by water. Students went to Eagle Base to understand mission and the selection criteria of Naval Air Forces, so that participants can have clear vision about their registration and choice in the future.

At the end, Major General Chen Xin-Fa, President of Naval Academy presented certificates to each one of students for confiming their enthusiastic and learning attitude. He encouraged students to study hard, go in for physical training to lay a good foundation for their future, and welcom them to officially join the army.
