Army 10th Corps signed a strategic alliance with National Chung Hsing University.

(By Zhuo Yi-Li, Military News Agency, March 31, 2014, TAICHUNG) In order to push the mercenary policy forward and to establish in-service training channel for officers and soldiers, the Army 10th Corps today signed a strategic alliance agreement with the National Chung Hsing University to complete the military off-hour education and lifelong learning. Thus, officers and soldiers can receive degree, certification, and can successfully into the workplace after full-service.

The signing ceremony was held at the National Chung Hsing University Administration Building. The strategic alliance agreement was signed by Lieutenant General Luo, Commander of 10th Corps and Professor Xu Yao-Hui, Vice President of National Chung Hsing University. Commander Luo indicated that to establish partnership with private university, it’s not only beneficial to the integration of the mercenary policy with academic, but also to promote a fashion of pursuing education in the troops. Through academic exchanges to share practical experience, let officers and soldiers develop their talents and improve their work efficiency, also through the consultation in the academic assistance to attract more excellent youth to join the army.

Mr. Xu Yao-Hui, Vice President of National Chung Hsing University, pointed out that this strategic alliance agreement will keep the principle of Mutual Benefit to establish long-term cooperation relationship with 10th Corps. It is hope through creating relevant training be engaged in an occupation to help the military continued to sophisticate manpower quality, to complete career planning counseling for military promoting mercenary policy.

The alliance of Army 10th Corps and National Chung Hsing University symbolized the courses can be tailor-made to match with the requirements and schedule of troops task in order to comply with the provisions of the Ministry of Education. If officers and soldiers pursue education during off-hour and pass the audition, each semester can receive a government subsidy of twenty thousand dollars at maximum.
